As we move out of 2023 and into 2024 a lot of trends are showing signs of following through with us, people are starting to enjoy a more simplistic and contemporary garden area. These gardens are being achieved using dark tones throughout with a mix of different yet modern materials. Corten steel is becoming hugely popular, mainly used within water features and as planters – this material brings in a sense of a modern style whilst being a natural rustic material.
We think with a mixture of natural rustic material’s blended with new modern material such as porcelain paving this creates the perfect tone to a modern style garden. People are starting to enjoy not having to worry about having a high maintenance garden so are starting to have more modern and simplistic materials used in their outdoor spaces such as composite decking, steel planters and porcelain paving, all of which are extremely durable, long lasting, and modern.
More lighting in the garden is starting to become more of a trend, whether this be uplighters against a larch cladded fence or a led strip light around a porcelain patio, the use of lighting in the gardens is creating another room to their property.
